When I first started to invest more in my skin, one of the things I realized that was so important to incorporate into my skin care routine was a good eye cream. If you're thinking "why not just use your normal facial moisturizer for the undereyes?", then keep reading :)
Eye creams are specially formulated for the under eyes because the skin around our eyes do not have pores and they need products that will really sink into the skin and not just lay on top. Under eye creams contain smaller molecules that are able to penetrate deep into the skin around our eyes, which means that the product is actually able to work and produce results. Moisturizers have larger molecules, and therefore, cannot penetrate or work on our under eyes, and can actually cause milia (whiteheads).
I have tried several types of under eye creams and gels, but I have found one that I really love and that is Missha's Misa Geum Sul Vitalizing Eye Cream. I know, the name is really long haha. This product claims to revitalize and brighten the eye area "using powerful ingredients from Korean herbal medicine". It also claims to "gently pamper your delicate eye area while treating signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles, and dark shadows around eyes". After trying out this eye cream, I can say that it does what it claims to do. It really works!
The ingredients include: Ginseng Root Water and Extract, Deer Antler Extract, Arbutin, Licorice Root Extract, Reishi Mushroom Extract, Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate.
With this product, I could really see a difference. My under eyes are much brighter and less puffy and this eye cream does a really good job of protecting my eyes from moisture loss. I usually apply this cream on top of an under eye serum, and it locks everything in. I don't have wrinkles around my eyes yet but I love using this product as a preventative measure against crows feet and any premature aging. I just take a little scoop with the spatula that comes with the product, and use my ring fingers to gently pat the cream around my eyes, focusing on the skin under my eyes. I also apply this around my lip area to prevent any lip lines.
The packaging is so beautiful too and I feel like royalty everytime I use it!

I purchased this eye cream from Soko Glam, where I purchase most of my Korean skincare products. It is $45 US dollars which seems expensive but you get so much product that will last you a very long time. I got mine over a year ago and I use it every single day and night and I still have so much left over, so this is a really good investment. A little goes a long way!
After doing research on this product, I have read reviews from people of all skin types that say this eye cream worked for them so I believe this is good for all skin types, but especially dry and dehydrated skin.
I hope this was useful for anyone who's thinking about incorporating an eye cream into their skin care routine (which I think is really important), or anyone who's looking to try something new.
Thanks for reading! I'll see you in my next post :)
